Dr. Joe O’Cull, and Revs. Kerry Lambert and Jeff Elliott officiated at the services. Burial followed in Murray Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Crutcher died on Friday, February 10, 2006, at 11:15 p.m., at his home.
Mr. Crutcher was born on August 15, 1915, in Stewart County, Tenn. He was the son of the late Henry and Hontas Wiggins Crutcher.
Mr. Crutcher was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church, where he taught the Adult Men’s Sunday School Class; and was a retired administrator of the Physical Plant of Murray State University.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Darrel Crutcher; granddaughter, Alesha Moreland; two sisters, Virginia Nolen and Vadie Outland; and a brother, John Crutcher.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 65 years, Judell Crutcher of Murray; three daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Dorris Jones of Cadiz, Betty and Edward Moreland of Wingo, and Helen and Joe O’Cull of Murray; a son and daughter-in-law, Harrel and Jean Crutcher; four sisters, Annie Nolin of Mayfield, Jannetta Nelson of Dover, Tenn., Gladys Whitford of Granite City, Ill., and Ruth Crutcher of Dover, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
