Dr. Heaton died on Friday, March 10, 2006, at the Hospice Care Center at St. Joseph Hospital of natural causes.
Dr. Heaton was born on July 14, 1934, in Princeton. He was the son of the late Dr. Wallace B. and Nannie Cavanaugh Heaton.
Dr. Heaton was a self-employed Chiropractor, having worked in Lexington from 1961 to 1999. He was a graduate of Palmer Chiropractic College; a member of the Masonic Lodge in Cadiz; and a member of Griffin Gate Golf Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steven Craig Heaton; and a brother, James P. Heaton.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Stone Heaton; two nieces, Nancy Heaton Chastain and Pat Heaton Andrews; and two great-nieces, Samantha J. Nevils and Jozette L. Nevils.
