Funeral services for James “Bobby” McKnight, 67, of Princeton, were conducted on Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at 1 p.m., at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.

Burial followed in Millwood Cemetery in Caldwell County, with Military Rites.

Mr. McKnight died on Thursday, March 9, 2006, at 4 p.m., at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, of an apparent heart attack.

Mr. McKnight was born on June 15, 1938, in Christian County. He was the son of the late Nelson Jr., and Mattie Elizabeth Oreton McKnight.

Mr. Nelson was a retired U.S. Navy Pettie Officer, having served in the Viet Nam War; and from the KY State Penitentiary.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Ervin McKnight; and a sister, Sandra Slayton.

Survivors include two sons, Ronnie McKnight of New Salisbury, Ind., and Randy McKnight of Coryden, Ind.; four daughters, Terri Robertson and Karen Stone, both of Princeton, Debbie Hughes of Hopkinsville, and Robin McKnight of New Jersey; three brothers, William Nelson McKnight and Richard Leon Green, both of Caldwell County, and Douglas Green of Princeton; four sisters, Wanda Sue Prince and Leola Corinne Gilkey, both of Caldwell County, Charlene Towery of Evansville, Ind., and Edith McKinney of Princeton; and 10 grandchildren.
