Mr. Frye died in his home following a long illness.
Mr. Frye was the son of the late Jesse Moss and Celia Mae Truax Frye of Spencer County, Ky.
Mr. Frye was a retired builder, and pastored the Kings Chapel Church from 1963-1965.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Evelyn Frye; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Edward Frye of Washington D.C., and David and Nancy Frye of Greenbriar; one daughter, Becky Baker of Yuma, Ariz.; and one brother, Benjamin Frye of Pensacola. Fla.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Local survivors are his two oldest grandsons, Jesse Frye and Marc Frye and their families.
He was preceded in death by four children; Jesse Frye, Sr., Virginia Phelps, Clarence Frye, and Kenneth Frye; and a brother, Luther Frye.
