Funeral services for Rebecca Turner Mitchell, 90, of Hopkinsville, will be conducted on Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at 11 a.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Rev. Gayla Webb will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in the Starkie Thomas Cemetery in Trigg County.

Mrs. Mitchell died on Sunday, April 16, 2006, at 11:10 p.m., at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.

Mrs. Mitchell was born on February 14, 1916, in Stewart County, Tenn. She was the daughter of the late Cleveland and Jimmie Carr Turner.

Mrs. Mitchell was a homemaker; a member of Fairview United Methodist Church; and was a member of AARP, and Widowed Persons Group.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Mitchell; four brothers, Elmer C. Turner, Elmo R. Turner, Everett Turner, and Edgar Turner; and two sisters, Earline Stagner and Mary Hancock.

Survivors include two sisters, Ethel Hancock of Lafayette, and Eva Clark of Sylvania, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rob Cowherd, Jason Turner, Anthony Turner, James Turner, Ron Clark, and Christ East.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Starkie Thomas Cemetery Fund.
