Citing general confusion over their new meeting time and about a previously scheduled public hearing, the Trigg County Fiscal Court convened a special session on April 11, at their newly voted on meeting time of 7 pm, to repeat and redo business conducted at the April 5 session.

The April 5 session was conducted immediately after the conclusion of a short public hearing at 6 pm, not at 7pm, which was the hour ratified at the March 21 meeting.

“We’ve had several calls about why we didn’t meet at 7,” said Judge Executive Berlin Moore. “I think even (District 7 County Magistrate Donnie Tyler) got mixed up and missed the meeting.”

Votes to nullify the session from the previous week and re-approve the March 21 minutes were unanimous.

The only other item of business on the April 5 agenda, that would be re-addressed this week, was the new proposed county budget. The court again voted without opposition to approve the first reading.
