Revs. Allan D. Stokes, Sr. and Danny Mitcheson officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with Military Rites.
Mr. Booth died on Monday, April 17, 2006, at 4:56 p.m., at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.
Mr. Booth was born on February 26, 1926, in Abingdon, Va. He was the son of the late Clarence and Zelphia Salyers Brown.
Mr. Booth was a retired machinist from Rockwell International in Carpentersville, Ill.; was a member of the Pleasant Hill Pentecostal Church; was a member of the American Legion; and was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Arvillia Durham Booth of Cadiz; three sons and daughters-in-law, Charles “Jr.” and Jan Booth of Hampshire, Ill., David S. and Sandra Booth of Pearland, Texas, and William Wayne Booth of Cadiz; a daughter and son-in-law, Wanda Sue and Irvin Probizanski of Cadiz; a sister, Eva Sue Dillard of Kingsport, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Tommy Hanberry, Jack Hanberry, Stevie Hanberry, Bill Armour, Robert Edmonds, and Billy Fletcher.
Joy Stokes, pianist, provided the music.
King’s Funeral Home was in charge of all the arrangements.
