Visitation will be Thursday, May 4, from 2 to 5 p.m., and 7 to 9 p.m., with a 4 p.m. rosary service at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
Mr. Ondras died on Friday, April 28, 2006, at his daughter’s home.
Mr. Ondras was a former long-time resident of Lake Station/Portage, and former owner/operator of Ondras’ Body Shop in Lake Station; he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII; was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Lake Station and founding member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Clement Council.
Mr. Ondras was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Ondras in 1995.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in law, Kathleen Ondras of Cadiz, Diane and Mark Davis of Lake Station, and Caroline and Dennis Webber of Portage; a step daughter, Linda Chiesi of Indianapolis, Ind.; nine grandchildren, Kim, Christopher, Anthony, Meghan, Michelle, Keith, Christina, Denny, and Jeffrey; five great-grandchildren, Ashton, Mallory, Mackenzie, Travis, and Tylor; his loyal canine companion, Princess; and some special people, Holly, Martha, Becka, and Heather.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family would be appreciated.
