Rev. Lester Watson officiated at the services. Burial followed in East Cadiz Baptist Church Cemetery in Cadiz.
Mrs. Lindsey died on Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at 11:21 p.m., at Deaconess Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, Ind., of natural causes.
Mrs. Lindsey was born on March 30, 1941, in Crittenden County. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Robbie Stinnett Young.
Mrs. Lindsey was previously employed by Elk Brand Manufacturing Company; and was a member of the East Cadiz Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, George Brooks; and a sister, Edna Patton.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Paul Lindsey of Cadiz; two sons and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Renee Lindsey and Allen Lindsey, all of Cadiz; a daughter, Paula Birdsong of Cadiz; six grandchildren, Melony Murray, Michael Lindsey, Kayla Lindsey, Brandon Lindsey, Joshua Birdsong, and Linzi Birdsong, all of Cadiz; two great-grandchildren, Cyrus Murray and Ethan Murray both of Cadiz.
Becky Freeman, soloist, and Martha Edwards, pianist provided the music.
Serving as pallbearers were Daniel Murray, Joshua Birdsong, Roger Birdsong, Will Wadlington, Michael Lindsey, and Greg Patton.
Honorary pallbearers were Brandon Lindsey, Cyrus Murray, Ethan Murray, Melony Murray, Kayla Lindsey, and Linzi Birdsong.
