Band Vice President Brittany Todd, who plays a myriad of instruments, and was selected for the All-State Band for bassoon said, “Band is my life. If there was no band, I wouldn’t have anything.”
With the grill not giving cooks its full cooperation, plans were accelerated, and Band Director Andrew Mroch and other band members were roasted with white-elephant gifts. Mroch, hoping to purchase a motorcycle, was given bandannas by a number of band members to give him more of a biker image.
The Trigg County band was lauded with a number of awards as a whole and on an individual level, including attendance at the All-Regional and All-State Band Competition. Todd was recognized with the John Phillip Sousa Award, which Mroch described as the highest award in the band.
