High School Principal Sharon Knight announced that seniors would be permitted to reserve two seats at floor level for their parents, or other invited guests. “Other seating is available on a first come, first serve basis. The gym has plenty of seating though, so I think we can accommodate everyone,” she said.
Knight said that the Baccalaureate program was optional but that students this year elected to have one. They will be having a program at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday May 24, in the High School Gym. “It’s a student led and planned program, and there will be singing and two guest speakers, Shalmon and Simon Radford, who are local ministers,” Knight said.
Graduation was celebrated all week at Trigg High. On Monday, May 22, seniors took their annual senior trip to Nashville, where they enjoyed a picnic lunch and attended a Nashville Sounds minor league baseball game.
Of the 135 graduates, Knight believed that there could be as many as 20 students graduating with honors.
