Henry Ellis and Sheila Marie Cuffee Martin celebrated 28 years of marriage on Saturday, June 3, 2006, by vacationing in Cancun, Mexico.

The couple was married on June 3, 1978, in Chesapeake, Va., in the home of her parents.

The couple has three sons and daughters-in-law, Shawn and Stephanie Cuffee of Austin, Texas, Henry Jr., and Raquel Martin of Jacksonville, Fla., and Justin Martin of Kings Bay, Ga. They also have two granddaughters, Hailey Cuffee of Texas and Imani Martin of Fla.

Sheila is a 1975 graduate of Deep Creek High School in Chesapeak, Va., a 2005 graduate of Hopkinsville Community College, is a community volunteer, and is a student at Murray State University majoring in Social Work. She is the daughter of William and Rosa Worlds, and the late Willie Morris Lancaster.

Henry is a 1973 graduate of Trigg County High School. Following graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he rose from the rank of E-1 to E-7. In 1985, he was approved and was promoted to commissioned officer, retiring as a Lieutenant in 1999. He is currently employed as a Planner for a Chemical Plant in Calvert City, volunteers as a Trigg County Youth Football coach, and attends Hopkinsville Community College part-time. He is the son of Harrison and Bertha Kirby Martin of Cadiz.
