Mayes and Wadlington trial to begin

A trial date for Devron Wadlington and George Kelly Mayes, accused of fatally shooting LaWarren O’Keith Sims has been set for July 18, in the Trigg County Circuit Court.

The shooting is alleged to have happened June 22, 2005 at an after-hours bar in Cerulean.

Wadlington is facing murder charges in Eastland County, Texas for a 2003 shooting of D’Waylon Jones at Ranger Junior College.

Mayes was held at the time of the incident without bond for parole violation.
