Last weekend two friends and I made a special trip to Cadiz for the opening reception of Kentucky Connections, the current exhibition at the Janice Mason Art Museum. The initial impression on arriving in Cadiz late Saturday afternoon was one of pride of community. The American flags in honor of the 4th of July and the banners on the light poles were a visual delight and welcome.
How fortunate Cadiz is to be the home of the Janice Mason Art Museum and to have the hard-working staff and volunteers to make it possible. The space is beautiful, the respect for the work shown was obvious and the hospitality shown the artists was great. I wish every community could be so lucky.
We thoroughly enjoyed our fast visit and all the new friends we made. We are looking forward to a return visit with more time to explore. The Janice Mason Art Museum is a destination!
Sincerely,
