Funeral services for J.T. McDaniel, 86, of Big Sandy, Tenn., were conducted on Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at 7 p.m., at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.

Rev. Jim McDaniel officiated at the services. Burial will follow on Wednesday, July 19, with graveside services at 1 p.m., at Ramble Creek Cemetery in Big Sandy, Tenn.

Mr. McDaniel died on Sunday, July 16, 2006, at 5:38 p.m., at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah following a long illness.

Mr. McDaniel was born on December 19, 1919. He was the son of the late Thomas and Julia Warmack McDaniel.

Mr. McDaniel was retired from Burroughs Corp. in Detroit, Mich.; was a member of the First Baptist Church of Big Sandy; and was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Mason.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Castleman McDaniel; four sisters; and two brothers.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Wanda McDaniel of Princeton; a grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Rev. Jim and Linda McDaniel of Hawesville; a granddaughter, Melissa McDaniel of Nashville, Tenn.; a great-grandson and great-granddaughter-in-law, Brent and Leslie McDaniel of Owensboro; a great granddaughter and great-grandson-in-law, Cortney McDaniel and Tim Brown of Hawesville; two great-great-grandsons, Brock and Jackson McDaniel of Owensboro; a brother, Shirley McDaniel of Willamsburg, Mich.; and two sisters, Irene Parker of Big Sandy, Tenn., and Katherine Weaver of Dyersburg, Tenn.
