The Santa Rosa Beach in Florida was the setting of a Beach Ceremony for Brooke Nichols and Matthew Cunningham, on Saturday, May 20, 2006, at 6 p.m.

Pastor Cory Hardesty officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Phil and Rheba Nichols of Knoxville, Tenn.

Grandparents of the bride are Bo and Danny Brown of Opelika, Ala., and James and Sybil Holmes of Valley, Ala.

The groom is the son of Lisa Cunningham and Rick Cunningham, both of Cadiz.

Grandparents of the groom are Billy and Wandine Bryant, and Mrs. Alton Cunningham, Sr., and the late Alton Cunningham, Sr., all of Cadiz.

The bride was adorned in a lovely strapless, candlelight lace wedding dress accented with a satin sash at the waist and a slight train designed by Melissa Sweet of Atlanta, Ga. She wore gardenias in her hair, and carried a bouquet made of gardenias and hydrangeas.

The bride chose her cousin, Kelly Hasan, of Knoxville, Tenn., to serve as her Matron of Honor.

Dawn Nichols and Devon Nichols, both sisters-in-law of the bride, and Claire Nichols, bride’s niece, all of Knoxville, were bridesmaids. All the attendants wore chocolate tea-length dresses designed by Laundry by Shelli Segal.

The groom chose his brother, Ryan Cunningham of Cadiz, to serve as his Best Man. Lynn Nichols and Ryan Nichols, both brothers of the bride, Phillip Nichols of Knoxville, Tenn., nephew of the bride, Lucas Chestnut of Cadiz, friend, and David Kinard of Tulare, Calif., friend, served as groomsmen.

Anna Nichols, bride’s niece, of Knoxville, was Flower Girl.

Andrew Nichols, bride’s nephew, of Knoxville, was Ringbearer.

Musicians were the Emerald Coast Trio. Songs performed were Ava Maria, All I Ask of You, Trumpet Voluntary, and Four Seasons Largo.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Beach Walk Café in Destin, Fla.

The couple honeymooned in San Francisco, Calif., and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

On Saturday, June 10, 2006, a reception was held at Phil and Rheba Nichols home in Knoxville, Tenn. The bride’s cake was a three-tiered, off-white cake with blue and brown stripes decorated with hydrangeas and gardenias.

The groom’s cake was a chocolate baseball cake.

The bride is a Real Estate Hostess; and the groom is an electrical engineer and Project Manager with Amteck.

The couple is making their home in Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.
