Kenneth Moore Porter, 65, Gracey-Sinking Fork Road, noted farmer and church leader, died Monday, July 3, 2006, at 5:21 p.m., at St. Thomas Hospital, in Nashville, Tenn., of natural causes.

Services were held on Friday July 7, at 10 a.m., at the Gracey West Union Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bradley Cornelius officiating. Burial followed in East End Cemetery in Cadiz.

Mr. Porter is survived by his wife, Sally Greer Porter; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Wesley Greer and Lori Porter; daughter and son-in-law, Saralyn Porter and Dan Hite; brother and sister-in-law, Dr. D. Thomas and Sandy Porter; and five grandchildren, Lydia Margaret Hite, Emma Kathleen Hite, Lucas Daniel Hite, Braden Thomas Porter, and Landon Wesley Porter.

Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville was in charge of all the arrangements.
