Rev. N.A. Kirby officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Rocky Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Cadiz.
Mrs. Irving died on Sunday, August 6, 2006, at her residence of natural causes.
Mrs. Irving was born on April 16, 1922, in Trigg County. She was the daughter of the late Floyd Alexander and Sally Faulkner Grooms.
Mrs. Irving was a homemaker; was a member of St. John Baptist Church; and was on the Mothers’ Board.
Survivors include a stepson, Rev. Charles Irving of Terre Haute, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Verna Watkins of Hopkinsville; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Gamble Funeral Home in Hopkinsville was in charge of all the arrangements.
