Funeral services for Virginia Cunningham, 88, of Cadiz, were conducted on Friday, August 11, 2006, at 2 p.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Revs. Kevin Roberts, Jimmy Gentry, and Andy Buckingham officiated at the services. Burial followed in East End Cemetery in Cadiz.

Mrs. Cunningham died on Monday, August 7, 2006, at 12:35 a.m., at Trigg County Hospital of natural causes.

Mrs. Cunningham was born on May 2, 1918, in Cadiz. She was the daughter of the late Mark Ramey and Edmonia Wimberly Burnam.

Mrs. Cunningham was a homemaker, and a member of the Cadiz Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde F. Cunningham in 2001; daughter-in-law, Ella Cunningham; four sisters, Docia Curtis, Ruth Burnam, Hazel Mitchell, and Mary Ladd; and three brothers, Sam Burnam, Carlos Burnam, and Wils Burnam.

Survivors include a son, Ramey Cunningham of Cadiz; daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Milton Turner of Keyser, West Virginia; sister, Lillie Gentry of Cadiz; four grandchildren, Jonathan Cunningham, Michael Cunningham, Mark Turner, and Todd Turner; three great-granddaughters, Madeleine Cunningham, Charlotte Cunningham, and Casey Turner; and two great-grandsons, Joshua Turner and Daniel Cunningham.

Serving as pallbearers were Jonathan Cunningham, Michael Cunningham, Mark Turner, Todd Turner, Jerry Burnam, and Ray Burnam.

Michael Cunningham, vocalist, and Pam Witty, pianist provided the music.
