Revs. O.D. Boyd, Lester Watson, Jamus Edwards, and Russ Stallons officiated at the services. Burial followed in the East Cadiz Baptist Church Cemetery in Cadiz.
Mr. Stallons died on Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at 3 a.m., at his residence of natural causes.
Mr. Stallons was born on April 7, 1921, in Lyon County. He was the son of the late Clyde and Lela Oliver Stallons.
Mr. Stallons was a retired Farmer and Business Man; he was a member of the East Cadiz Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, past Church Treasurer, and was involved with the Bus Ministry; Charter Member of the New Hope Baptist Church; Charter Member of the East Cadiz Baptist Church; and was a Gideon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ragon Stallons; two sisters, Nellie Bowles and Dimple Gardner; and a grandson, Chris Lake Stallons.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Zelma Gray Stallons of Cadiz; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Fely Stallons of Texas, and Jimmy and Faye Stallons of Hopkinsville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Jim Edwards and Rita and Jeff Stewart, all of Cadiz; 12 grandchildren, Jerri Dawn Turner, Rita Faye Stallons, Lance Stallons, Russ Stallons, David Stallons, Stephen Stallons, Andrea McAtee, Amanda Sholar, Christy Edwards, Jamus Edwards, Amy Coleman, and Tonya Oakley; and 22 great-grandchildren, Julia, Justin and Jordan Turner; Landan, Tanner, Alyssa and Josie Faye Stallons; Caleb, Jacob, Kelsey, Paige, Aaron, Bethany, Ethan, Elizabeth, and Mason Stallons; Stephanie, Jamus and Anne Marie McAtee; Carter and Mary “Maddie” Sholar; and Amelia Grace Coleman.
