Visitation will be held on Friday, September 1, 2006, at Second Baptist Church, from 5 until 7 p.m.
Rev. Clarence Terry will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in New Crown Hill Cemetery in Cadiz.
Mrs. Alexander died on Saturday, August 26, 2006, at 10:07 a.m., at her residence following a battle with cancer.
Mrs. Alexander was born on October 5, 1947, in Trigg County. She was the daughter of the late Perry and Connie Cunningham Burke.
Mrs. Alexander was retired from TVA after 30 years, where she worked as a Communication Specialist and Group Tours Coordinator; she also worked at the Trigg County Tourist Center in Cadiz; she accepted Christ at an early age, and was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Cadiz. She continually took educational classes at MSU to further her knowledge in many areas including accounting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn F. Burke Dillard; and three sons at birth, Randy Wadlington, Jeffery Wadlington, and Charlie Wadlington.
Survivors include her husband, Willie “Billy” Alexander of Cadiz; two sons, Perry Burke and Shelia of Clarksville, Tenn, and Henry Tyrone Wadlington and Angie of Cadiz; three grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Mildred Alexander of Cadiz; a host of nieces and nephews; and three devoted friends, Ellen Wadlington, Barbara Futrell, and Robert Earl Wharton, and many other friends and relatives.
