Funeral services for Geneva Johnson Boring, 77, of Evansville, Ind., formerly of Cadiz, were conducted on Thursday, August 31, 2006, at 12 p.m., at Alexander West Chapel in Evansville.

Rev. Robert Nall officiated at the services. Burial followed in Alexander Memorial Park.

Mrs. Boring died on Monday, August 28, 2006, at VNA Charlier Hospice Center following a short illness.

Mrs. Boring was the daughter of the late Roy Johnson and Iola Johnson Dunn.

Mrs. Boring was a homemaker, having a special love for drawing, sewing, baking, music, gardening, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Lee Boring; a grandson, Allen Dale Boring, Jr.; stepfather, Roosevelt Dunn; brother, Ray Johnson; and half-brother, W.C. Johnson.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, William Boring; three sons and daughters-in-law, Allen, Sr., and Mary Boring, Bill Boring, Jr., and Bob and Amy Boring, all of Evansville; two daughters and son-in-law, Denise Ashby of Evansville, and Barbara and Nick Morrow of Las Vegas, Nev.; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one step-grandchild; four step-great-grandchildren; brother, Lavaughn Johnson of Evansville; half-sister, Christine Staddard of Arkansas; and local survivors include two half-brothers, R.D. Johnson, and Darryl Johnson, and two half-sisters, Marie Morris and Joyce Johnson of Trigg County.
