Funeral services for Phil Jones, 53, of Eddyville, were conducted on Monday, September 11, 2006, at 1 p.m., at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.

Rev. Joe Baker, assisted by Rev. Jeff Boone, officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Fredonia Cemetery.

Mr. Jones died on Friday, September 8, 2006, at 5:40 p.m., at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., following a short illness.

Mr. Jones was born on September 3, 1953, in Caldwell County. He was the son of Bert and Betty Ennis Jones of Fredonia.

Mr. Jones was a 1971 graduate of Wagger High School in Louisville; was a Construction Superintendent with Buffalo Construction in Louisville; was involved in many horse-related activities; was a member of various building associations; and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fredonia.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, are his mate for eight years, Debbie Herring of Eddyville; twin daughters, Brittney Goodpaster and Brook Miranda, both of Lexington; a brother, David Barry Jones of Goshen, Ky.; two sisters, Lisa Barnett of Loveland, Ohio, and Dee Bauer of Louisville; and four grandchildren.
