Trigg County Democrats won’t be the only ones in West Cadiz Park showing their support for county judge-executive candidate Marc Terrell on Saturday. Kentucky Attorney General Greg Stumbo and Speaker of the House Jody Richards (D-Bowling Green) are two of the special guests that are scheduled to make appearances at the event.

“We’re going to have free barbeque and all the trimmings,” Terrell said.

The picnic is being called “A Day in the Park with Marc” and begins at 11 a.m. Terrell said the picnic would be a chance to share his views with voters and give them a chance to hear speeches by the various guests. John Tilley, who is challenging Republican incumbent James Carr in the House’s eighth district, is supposed to be there as well as Hal Kemp, who is running against Republican incumbent Melvin Henley in the House fifth district. Terrell said Circuit Judge Bill Cunningham and Kentucky Court of Appeals Judge Rick Johnson, both of whom are running for a seat on the supreme court in the first district, would also be at the event.
