Funeral services for William Boyd “Hambone” Hammond, 70, of West Paducah, will be conducted on Wednesday, October 11, 2006, at 2 p.m., at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.

Revs. Jewell Warford and Stephen Seaford will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Hammond died on Sunday, October 8, 2006, at 6 p.m., at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.

Mr. Hammond was born in Trigg County. He was the son of the late Frank and Ida Guier Hammond.

Mr. Hammond retired from USEC after 25 years plus as a truck driver; was a member of Harmony Baptist Church; was a member of Energy International Union Local 550; and he worked with Massey Farms in West Paducah after retirement.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother in infancy.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Freida J. Dunnagan Hammond; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Jason Manar of Donahue, Iowa; two-year-old grandson, Austin Manar; two sisters, Bobbie Thomas and Ann Diel of Cadiz; five brothers, Cecil Hammond, Aaron Hammond, and Darrel Hammond, all of Cadiz, and Willard Hammond of Bardwell and Douglas Hammond of Providence; and several nieces and nephews.
