Cadiz Police Major Duncan Wiggins said that VanHoose was arrested at the Tampa International Airport.
The arrest report from the Hillsborough County, Fla. Sheriff’s Office said that VanHoose’s warrant was for a charge of computer fraud. Wiggins said that such a charge was considered a felony in the state of Kentucky.
VanHoose was identified as the suspect in the theft after Wildcat Chevrolet employee Ernie Cox identified him from a series of security camera photograph were published in The Cadiz Record.
Wiggins did not disclose the amount of money stolen from the ATM machine, but said that it was an amount greater than $300. VanHoose was arrested twice in Tampa in 2003, once for domestic assault on a pregnant woman, and once for a Massachusetts warrant for indecent assault on a minor over the age of 14.
