The Trigg County Project Development Board is scheduled to meet today at 4:30 p.m. in the Trigg County Courthouse Annex. The meeting will discuss plans for the proposed Justice Center and is open to the public. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Annual Arts show
Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park will be holding its annual Arts & Crafts Show Oct. 14-15. The show will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Central Time) on both days. A juried arts and crafts show, along with food, craft demonstrations, door prizes and music showcases will be featured.

Bible Baptist

J.D. Stencils, Trigg County Quilters Guild, and Trigg County Schools have partnered to bring Clarice Boswell, Ed.D., author and renowned slave quilt expert to Cadiz. Dr. Boswell will present, “Pre-Civil War Quilts: Their Hidden Codes to the Freedom of Slaves Through the Underground Railroad,” on Monday, October 23, at 6:30 p.m., at the Trigg County Schools Little Theatre. Free and is open to the public.

The Lions Club “Candy Day” Fundraiser will be held on Friday, October 27. Lions will be visible at the grocery stores, banks, and gas stations. All proceeds will go to buy glasses for children and the elderly. The Lions Club also accepts old pairs of glasses. There are drop boxes located at the post office, Hancock’s Neighborhood Market, and Food Giant.
