One seat in the U.S. House of Representatives stayed with the incumbent, while in the Kentucky House, one representative of a portion of Trigg County retained his seat and another lost to a challenger.

US Representative Ed Whitfield (R- Dist. 1) will return to Washington D.C. Melvin Henley (R- Dist 5) will return to Frankfort, while Democrat John Tilley defeated James Carr (R- Dist 8)
