Funeral services for Glenda Stovall Atkinson, 61, of Princeton, were conducted on Sunday, December 3, 2006, at 1:30 p.m., at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.

Rev. Duane Burden officiated at the services. Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Ms. Atkinson died on Thursday, November 30, 2006, at 9:15 a.m., at her home following a short illness.

Ms. Atkinson was born on August 19, 1945, in Lyon County. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Laura Bell Fitts Stovall.

Ms. Atkinson was a homemaker, and was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Caldwell County.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Oliver.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Mike Swaner and Sherry and Mark Cravens, all of Caldwell County; six grandchildren, Amanda Swaner, Tiffany Wynn, Darren Swaner, Tanner Cravens, Nicole Cravens, and Colby Oliver; a great-granddaughter, Taylor Wynn; several nieces and nephews; two brothers, Howard Stovall of Cadiz and Marvin Stovall of Caldwell County; and two sisters, Linda Story and Lauretta Beller, both of Caldwell County.

Serving as pallbearers were Tim Carrol, Jeff Story, Glenn Stovall, Kelly Stovall, Marvin Stovall, Wayne Story, Brett Wynn, and Andrew Rowland.

Honorary pallbearers were Daniel McGill, Howard Stovall, Mike Swaner, Mark Cravens, and Darren Swaner..
