Funeral services for Nola Estes, 88, of Eddyville, were conducted on Saturday, December 23, 2006, at 10 a.m., at Lakeland Funeral Home Chapel in Eddyville.

Rev. John Baker and Dr. Jerrell White officiated at the services. Burial followed in New Bethel Cemetery in Lyon County.

Mrs. Estes died on Tuesday, December 19, 2006, at 10:09 a.m., in Kuttawa.

Mrs. Estes was born on December 17, 1918. She was the daughter of the late Edmond Franklin and Lala Rhee Nimmo Henson.

Mrs. Estes was a homemaker, and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Lyon County.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Estes; two brothers, Lawrence Henson and James Henson; and a sister, Eunice Woods.

Survivors include five sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Peggy Estes of Cedar Park, Texas, Jerry and Joyce Estes of Cadiz, Bobby and Kathy Estes of Rock Stream, NY, and Billy and Renee Estes and Jack and Rhonda Estes, all of Eddyville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Bob Suitor of Eddyville, Joyce and Steve Greer of Benton, and Faye and Roger Lutz of Kuttawa; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Wilburn Henson, Donnie Henson, and Paul Henson, all of Benton; and a sister, Dorothy Driver of Benton.
