Rev. Moses Radford officiated at the services. Burial followed in Cave Springs Cemetery in Cerulean.
Mr. Wadlington died on Sunday, January 21, 2007, at 4:15 p.m., at his home of natural causes.
Mr. Wadlington was born on February 21, 1925, in Trigg County. He was the son of the late Ben Clarence and Bernette Baker Wadlington.
Mr. Wadlington was a self-employed farmer, well known for his curing of country hams; past member of Howe-Finley Masonic Lodge #160; and was a member of the Cave Spring Baptist Church in Cerulean.
In addition to his parents, a son, Ivan Wadlington, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Mattie Bell Wadlington, of Cerulean; six sons, Clayton W. Wadlington, Henry Wadlington, Richard Wadlington, and Neal Wadlington, all of Cerulean, James Wadlington of Evansville, Ind., and Robert Wadlington of Cadiz; three daughters, Rheda Gibson of Montclair, Va., Emma Rascoe of Cerulean, and Linda Baker of Fort Knox; 17 grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
