Funeral services for Dot Pool, 82, of Princeton, were conducted on Sunday, February 4, 2007, at 2:30 p.m., at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.

Rev. Jeff French, assisted by Rev. Tommy Tackett, officiated at the services. Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Pool died on Thursday, February 1, 2007, at 9:10 a.m., at her home following a short illness.

Mrs. Pool was born on November 11, 1924, in McCracken County. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Pinner and Willie Mae Gresham Cash.

Mrs. Pool was a retired cook at the Caldwell County Hospital, and was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gid Shelby Pool, Sr., in 2001; two brothers, James R. Cash and Howard Lee Cash; two nephews; and a niece.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Gid and Jane Pool of North Port, Fla.; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Phil Calkins of Princeton; four grandsons and spouses, Chris and Amy Lewis of Nortonville, Scott and Beverly Pool of Jacksonville, Fla., Craig and Carrie Calkins of Dallas, Texas, and Chris Calkins of Bowling Green; a granddaughter, Robyn Narayouski of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Kirstin Lewis, Knolin Shelby Lewis, Wade Carroll, and Holden Calkins.
