Rev. Tom Martin will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in the Todd County Meadow Haven. Visitation will be after 11 a.m., Wednesday until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
Mr. Turner died on Saturday, February 10, 2007, at 1:57 a.m., at the Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson of natural causes.
Mr. Turner was born on April 26, 1921, in Cedar Hill, Tenn. He was the son of the late Walter Scott and Lillie Rust Turner.
Mr. Turner was a retired Machinist, and Millwright from the Magma Cooper Corporation of San Manuel, Ariz. (largest underground copper mine in North America); was a U.S. Navy Veteran, having served in World War II; and was a member of the Christian Church of Cadiz, and Masonic Lodge #51 F& AM of Oracle, Ariz.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Velma Davidson Turner of Cadiz; a son, Claude Leonard Turner of Goose Creek, S.C.; a daughter, Cartha Lynn Tennille of San Dimas, Calif.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to further research in Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s diseases.
