Memorial services for Elizabeth “Scoots” Alexander Hopson Turner, 84, of Bay Minette, Ala., formerly of Cadiz, were conducted on Thursday, February 15, 2007, at 3 p.m., at the Norris Funeral Home in Bay Minette.

Rev. Bill Carr officiated at the services. A private burial preceded the service in the Bay Minette Cemetery.

Mrs. Turner died on Tuesday, February 13, 2007, at 3 a.m., at the Oakwood Nursing Home in Bay Minette of natural causes.

Mrs. Turner was born on April 20, 1922, in Cadiz. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Madie Rhea Noel Alexander.

Mrs. Turner was a homemaker; a member of the Cerulean Methodist Church; and a former member of the Eastern Star and local Bridge Clubs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Hopson; second husband, Clifton Wallace Turner, and a brother, Rumsey “Pete” Alexander.

Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Elizabeth Stahl of Tequesta, Fla., and Joann and Larry Brooks of Bay Minette, Ala; two granddaughters, Jennifer Holmgren of Panama City, Fla., and Kelly Mathis of Mobile, Ala.; one great-granddaughter, Madison Myschel Mathis of Mobile, Ala., and a sister-in-law, Virginia Alexander of Cadiz.
