Graveside services for Helen Ruth Propps, 90, of Cadiz, formerly of Ashdown, Ark., were conducted on Thursday, February 22, 2007, at 2 p.m., at Ozan Cemetery in Nashville, Ark., with Latimer Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. King’s Funeral Home in Cadiz was in charge of the local arrangements.

Richard Crutchfield officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Ozan Cemetery.

Mrs. Propps died on Monday, February 19, 2007, at 10:35 a.m., at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.

Mrs. Propps was born on October 4, 1916, in Pike County, Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late Henry Walter and Rebecca Chessir Scott.

Mrs. Propps was a homemaker, and a member of the Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen C. Propps; son, Larry Propps; and five sisters.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Gene Hill of Jacksonville, Texas, and Sandra and Richard Crutchfield of Cadiz; eight grandchildren, Jerry Hill, Lori Hill Ellison, Jennifer Propps Brackeen, Matthew Crutchfield, Timothy Crutchfield, Jeffery Crutchfield, Valerie J. Hutchison, and Karen Malone; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Family served as pallbearers.
