Funeral services for Byron Watson, 82, of the Farmersville Community, were conducted on Thursday, March 1, 2007, at 1 p.m., at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.

Rev. Wallace York officiated at the services. Burial followed in Morse Cemetery.

Mr. Watson died on Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at 3:35 a.m., at the Crittenden County Health System following a long illness.

Mr. Watson was born on April 16, 1924. He was the son of the late James L. and Narcissus Asher Watson.

Mr. Watson was a retired farmer and auctioneer, and was a member of Donaldson Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jimella Hawkins.

Survivors include his wife, Joy Elizabeth Vinson Watson of Caldwell County; two sons, Stephen Watson and David W. Watson, both of Caldwell County; a daughter, Sharon Rogers of Caldwell County; two brothers, Bernard Watson and Maurice Watson, both of Princeton; a sister, Ozelle Harper of Gulfport, Miss.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
