Funeral services for Burnace Hughes, 76, of Princeton, were conducted on Friday, March 16, 2007, at 1 p.m., at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.

Rev. Oscar Powell officiated at the services. Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Hughes died on Friday, March 9, 2007, at 2:15 p.m., at the Princeton Health and Rehab Center following a long illness.

Mr. Hughes was born on July 28, 1930, in Crittenden County. He was the son of the late Lacy and Narcissia Mills Hughes..

Mr. Hughes was retired as a Machine Operator for Special Metals, and was a member of St. James Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Kenneth Hughes and Robert Douglas Hughes.

Survivors include his wife, Ledley Lee Hughes of Princeton; a son, Thomas Hughes of Evansville, Ind.; two daughters, Lorna Hollowell of Owensboro and Terri McDonald of Evansville, Ind.; three brothers-in-law, Arthur Lee of Louisville, Walter Lee of Owensboro, and Dixie Copeland of Princeton; two step-sons, Byron Boyd and Quentin Boyd, both of Princeton; mother-in-law, Ann Lee of Morganfield; a brother, Garland Hughes of Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Bertha Copeland of Princeton and Thelma Momon of Milwaukee, Wis.; an aunt, Oletha Reynolds of Lompoc, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
