Funeral services for Jim Bowie Alexander, 37, of Caldwell County, were conducted on Friday, March 16, 2007, at 11 a.m., at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.

Rev. Reed Shepherd officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Meeks Cemetery.

Mr. Alexander died on Monday, March 12, 2007, at 10:30 p.m., on Hwy 293 South, Caldwell County, near 1st mile marker as the result of a one-vehicle auto accident.

Mr. Alexander was born on May 5, 1969, in Caldwell County. He was the son of Nancy Wyatt Melton of Caldwell County, and the late William “Cadillac” Alexander.

Mr. Alexander was a truck driver for Specialized Express.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Butch Melton.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Debra Alexander of Hopkinsville; two sons, James Bowie Alexander, II, and Carl Robert Alexander, both of Bel Air, Md.; a daughter, Heather Hart of Bel Air, Md.; two step-children, Morris Outlaw and Janet Bagwell, both of Hopkinsville; paternal grandfather, Melvin Alexander of Kuttawa; two grandchildren, Alyssa and Chris Hart of Bel Air, Md.; a brother, Tim Carroll of St. Louis, Mo.; three sisters, Sissy Redd and Wendi Jones, both of Caldwell County, and Shannon Phillips of Churchville, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.
