Kenneth Edward Wright, 70, of Parkersburg, and formerly of Vienna, passed away March 14, 2007 at home surrounded by his loving family. Kenny was Born Nov. 26, 1936, in Mexico, Ky., a son of the late Lawrence & Lossie McKinney Wright. He was enlisted in the Navy, a longtime member of the original Journeymen Gospel Quartet, a member of the American Legion Post #15, and retired from Firestone. Kenny has been associated with the Vienna Recreation and Improvement Association for more than 30 years. He was Past President, Little League Baseball Coordinator, Baseball Coach, worked with several other association athletic programs and held various other offices. By Kenny's dedication he received the Presidential "Call to Service Award" in 2005.He is survived by his wife Dianne Weaver Gorrell Wright of Parkersburg, W.V.; sons Steve Wright of Morgantown and Richard & Sue Clovis of Clarksburg W.V., their son Rick & Pam Clovis and great granddaughter of VA. ; stepson Wayne Gorrell, Jr. & J.D. Collins of Charleston W.V.; brother Gene & Mary Ann Wright of Cadiz, Ky.; sister Carolyn & Wayne Glass of Princeton Ky.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife Betty Wright. Services will be held at Faith Baptist Church (Vienna) on Saturday March 17, 2007 at 1:0 PM with Rev. Marvin Salee officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery (North Parkersburg) with military honors by American Legion Post 15. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-9 PM on Friday March 16, 2007 at Leavitt Funeral Home (7th street, Parkersburg).Online condolences may be sent to the family at
