Graveside services for James E. Dew, 81, of Gallatin, Tenn., formerly of Cadiz and Paducah, were conducted by Goodwin Funeral Home at the East End Cemetery in Cadiz on Saturday, March 31, 2007, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Paul Clayton officiating. Burial followed in the Cemetery.

Mr. Dew died on Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at 4:13 p.m., at Sumner Regional Hospice in Gallatin, Tenn., of natural causes.

Mr. Dew was born on October 5, 1925, in Louisville. He was the son of the late Ernest B. and Nell Tooley Dew.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Bryant Dew.

Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Patricia and Barry Bichon, and Jan Dew, all of Hendersonville, Tenn.; a brother, Randle Dew of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; a sister, Elnora Wages of Superior, Neb.; a brother, Randle Dew of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; two brothers-in-law, George Bryant of Hopkinsville and Mitchell Bryant of Cadiz; family friend, Mickey Thursam of Gallatin, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren, Brittney Bichon, Bree Kuntz, John Kuntz, Barron Bichon, Angela Bichon, Bryce Bichon, and James Dew.

Serving as pallbearers were Barry Bichon, Barron Bichon, Bryce Bichon, John Kuntz, Mitchell Bryant, and Mickey Thursam.
