Funeral services for Beulah Christine “Chris” Uncles, 87, of Lebanon, Ore., were conducted on Friday, April 13, 2007, at 11 a.m., at Huston-Jost Funeral Home. A private interment followed in the Sandridge Cemetery near Lebanon.

Mrs. Uncles died on Saturday, April 7, 2007, at the Timberwood Court Memory Care Community in Albany, Ore.

Mrs. Uncles was born on September 11, 1919, in Drum, Ky. She was the oldest child of the late James and Hattie Strong Miller.

Mrs. Uncles was educated in Kentucky; was a member of Lebanon First Assembly of God Church; was a member of her church quilting group; was an employee of the Kreative Kampus Day Care in Cadiz; and was an active former member of East Cadiz Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James C. Jesse in 1958; her second husband, William Payne (divorced); her third husband, Harris Uncles in 1983; and a son, Verl Jessee in 2000.

Survivors include a daughter, Janice Elaine Payne Lovett of Evansville, Ind.; daughter-in-law, Karen Jessee of Lebanon, Ore.; brother, Lewis Miller of Knoxville, Tenn.; sister, Ruth Gaskin of Harrodsburg, Ky.; three grandchildren, Jenny Beck of Neguanee, Mich., Shannan Billman of Albany, Ore., and James Jessee of Seoul, South Korea; and eight great-grandchildren.
