Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements for the funeral services for Joseph “Pep” Ariagno, 90, of Cadiz, that were conducted on Monday, April 16, 2007, at 2 p.m., at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel in Mt. Joliet, Ill.

Father Roger Kutzner officiated at the services. Burial followed in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet.

Mr. Ariagno died on Friday, April 13, 2007, at 4 a.m., at his residence of natural causes.

Mr. Ariagno was born on July 17, 1916, in Huntsville, Canada. He was the son of the late Gregorio Ariagno and Luiga Persardo Gunaria.

Mr. Ariagno was retired from Rock Island Railroad Company, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet, Ill.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Natali Gunaria; two brothers, John Ariagno and Beans Ariagno; and a sister, Dorothy Rudd.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Ann Kunstek Ariagno of Cadiz; two sons and daughter-in-law, Jim and K.G. Ariagno of Cadiz, and William Ariagno of Fort Pierce, Fla.; and a sister, Rita Dattovia of Santabol, Calif.
