Funeral services for Jack Lacy, 87, of O’Fallon, Ill., formerly of Cadiz, were conducted on Saturday, May 5, 2007, at 1 p.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Revs. Paul Cannon and Irvin Darnall officiated at the services. Burial followed in Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Hopkinsville, with Military Honors provided by the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. Lacy died on Monday, April 30, 2007, at 5:30 p.m., at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Ill., of natural causes.

Mr. Lacy was born on February 11, 1920, in Hopkinsville. He was the son of the late Floyd Preston and Virginia M. Grau Lacy.

Mr. Lacy was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Army Air Corp and later served in the U.S. Air Force until he retired in 1960; he served in both WWII and the Korean Conflict; was a member of Canton Baptist Church; was a member of the Cadiz Masonic Lodge #121, 32nd Degree Mason, Rizpah Shrine Temple; and a lifetime member of The Thomas and Bridges Association.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Floy P. Lacy; and two sisters, Dorothy Major and Margaret Giles.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Lottie Ellis Lacy, of O’Fallon; a daughter, Martha Lacy Stallons of Belleville; three grandchildren, Michael Hamann, Jeffrey Hamann, and Julie Hamann; and three great-grandchildren.

Myra Montgomery, organist, and Joe Bridges, vocalist, provided the music.

Serving as pallbearers were Bill Duncan, Michael Hamann, Jeffrey Hamann, Julie Gaffney, Leon Bland, and Carolyn Bland.

Honorary pallbearers were Carl Jones, Jr., and the Sunday School Class at Canton Baptist Church.
