Funeral services for James “Jimmy” Auther DeLoach, 61, of Hopkinsville, were conducted on Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at 2 p.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Revs. James Stewart, Jr., and Billy Hart officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Powell Cemetery in Lafayette.

Mr. DeLoach died on Saturday, May 5, 2007, at 11:50 a.m., at his residence following a long illness.

Mr. DeLoach was born on April 4, 1946, in Dickson, Tenn. He was the son of Lorene Hooper DeLoach of Cadiz, and the late Raymond Auther DeLoach.

Mr. DeLoach was a retired truck driver from City Salvage; and was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Hopkinsville.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth C. DeLoach, Michael E. DeLoach, and Fred A. DeLoach; and a grandson, James W. Croft.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Sandra Faye Hayes DeLoach of Hopkinsville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry Kaye and Thomas Croft and Sandy Gail and Richard Mitchell, all of Hopkinsville; two step-sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Anna Gentry of Hopkinsville and Chris and Tina Wilson of Russellville; two step daughters and sons-in-law, Renee and Hawk Keller and Tonya and Gary Allen, all of Hopkinsville; six brothers, Billy DeLoach and John DeLoach, both of Rockcastle, Calvin DeLoach of Herndon, Ronnie DeLoach of Hopkinsville, Jerry DeLoach and Danny DeLoach, both of Cadiz; four sisters, Molly D. Thomas, Sara Briggs and Bonnie Hart, all of Cadiz, and Kathy Buckner of Hopkinsville; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were Shawn DeLoach, Evan DeLoach, Chris Hart, Jodie Brewer, John Croft, Jr., Marshall Austin, Larry Johns, and Roger Dale Mitchell.
