Goodwin Funeral Home will be in charge of a private Memorial Service to be held at a later date for Hazel Elizabeth Freeman Simpson, 80, of Louisville, formerly of Cadiz.

Mrs. Simpson died on Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at 8 p.m., at her home in Louisville of natural causes.

Mrs. Simpson was born on January 7, 1927, in Louisville. She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Elizabeth Wade Freeman.

Mrs. Freeman was retired as Seamstress from Bacon’s in Louisville, and was a member of Dyers Chapel United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett N. Simpson; and two brothers, Don Freeman and Michael Freeman.

Survivors include three daughters, Jenny Harvey of Louisville, Laura Carson of Murray, and Ramona Hamilton of Cadiz; and two sisters, Peggy Turner of Bellingham, Mass., and Shirley Freeman of Loveland, Ohio; and two sisters-in-law, Laverne Freeman of Jacksonville, Fla., and Michelle Fishman of Louisville.
