Sheriff Randy Clark and 911 Coordinator Kim Wiggins finished the move to the Terrell Building in early May. The new office houses both departments, accompanying equipment with facilities for safety and comfort for the personnel that work there.

Clark said, “Security is tenfold better than what we had to work with in the old building. In the old office, you could walk through the hall, go into any offices and have free reign of the facility.” He noted that security keypads controlling locks controlled access to inner offices and secure areas of the building. He added that future plans called for the addition of additional windows to serve customers and provide deputies with the means to observe the unsecured public entry area of the building.

Wiggins said that her operation in the lower level of the building offered enhanced security for her staff members and herself. “We are more secure and isolated in this building, which is a bonus within itself. We have keypads and door locks to admit employees. Visitors will be seen on monitors before they are admitted into the building.”
