While six-year-old Gracie Turner’s health appears to be good after getting a nonmalignant tumor removed more than a month ago, it’s still going to take a lot more money to pay her medical bills. In an effort to raise more funds, the Gracie Turner Recovery Celebration will be held Friday at downtown Cadiz’ Renaissance Stage.

Gracie’s grandfather, Ricky Turner, said he had help organizing the event from his daughter, Lee Gibbs, and Eddie Craft, who will be performing at the celebration. The event will last from 6 to 8 p.m., Ricky said.

Midnight Blue, a band based in Hopkinsville, is one of the bands set to play Friday. Ricky said they play all sorts of music, including gospel, country and rock. They will also be backing up the other singers, which will be Craft and local favorite Becky Freeman.
