“This was a last minute decision,” said Boyd, “I was nervous and scared, I didn’t know if I was ready. College ball is a whole different world from high school.”
She said she did not make the final decision to go ahead and accept the offer until May 20. She knows it will be the toughest challenge, both mentally and physically, she has had to face in her sporting career. She received a lengthy packet in the mail describing what she should do this summer to get ready for the upcoming season.
“I’m going to work my hardest. First priority is running and dieting this summer to get ready for the next level.”
