Funeral Services for Louise (Miller) Lane, 89, of Cadiz, were conducted on Sunday, June 17, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Revs. William Bernice Miller and Denver Travis officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Matheny Cemetery, LBL, KY.

Mrs. Lane died on Friday, June 15, 2007, at 1:32 a.m. at her residence in Cadiz, of natural causes.

Mrs. Lane was born on Tuesday, May 7, 1918, in Golden Pond, KY. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Lula (Downs) Miller.

Mrs. Lane was a homemaker and a seamstress. She was a former member of Gold Pond Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Era “Pete” Lane, and six sisters, Lorene Jones, Lois Boren, Pauline Kuhn, Lola Wall, Ruby Faye, and Mary Holland.

Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Jimmie and Vickey Lane, of Cadiz, two daughters and son in law, Wanda Lane of Gilbertsville, Helen and Ken Travis, of Cadiz, grandchildren, Mark and Tina Lane, Camille Lane, Matthew Oakley, Roger Oakley, Denver and Jaclyn Travis, great grandchildren, Madison Lane, Kaitlin Oakley and Kimber Oakley.

Serving as pallbearers were Mark Lane, Matt Oakley, Roger Oakley, Denver Travis, Ken Travis, Mitchell Holland and Gary Holland.

Honorary pallbearers were Sam Brandon, M.C. Oakley and N.C. Hooks.

Music was provided by Denver and Jaclynn Travis, Instrumentalist and Vocalist.
