Services were held on Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Avon Park, Fla. The body was cremated.
A native of Christian County, he was born November 16, 1937. He was the son of the late Lucian and Inez Atkins Gordon.
He was a retired mechanic who had worked on a ranch in Florida. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Gordon; a son, Homer Gordon Jr. Avon Park, Fla., two daughters, Jeanie Harrison, Avon Park, Fla., and Janie Massey, Venus, Fla., two brothers, Larry Gordon, Texas, Gerald Gordon, Va., and four sisters, Frances Boolen, Spokane, Wash., Pat Bingham, Calif., Carolyn Moore, Hopkinsville, and Barbara Edwards, Crofton.
